Caught on Route 32. Suzaku had been interested in obtaining an electric sheep for some time, but was having a really hard time getting one to stay put long enough or even engage him in a battle. Several electrocutions and hours of crawling around in the grass later and Zip became his! He was named for a rather artful dodge he performed during a battle with Benji.
Fuji Shuusuke semi-conned Suzaku into taking the egg that ultimately hatched into Suzaku's favorite Pokemon. He was reluctant to take it at first, thinking that he wouldn't be fit to raise something that was entrusted to him that way, but it ended up working out quite well. Unlike the Skitty she was bred from, she's the sweetest and most gentle ball of pink fluff, which of course stirred fluffy feelings of remembrance in him, prompting him to name her after his princess, Euphemia. In spite of that, though, he often feels a little awkward referring to her by name, especially in front of others (bonus points if they were familiar with the human Euphie

Charlotte and Midori had an excess of Vulpix eggs and Suzaku offered to buy one. He won't admit it to anyone, but he was reminded of Rangiku, who he was still very worried about at the time, and that's mostly what prompted him to get one of his own. Kaori is quite fond of Benji, but so far, Benji hasn't been very interested in her at all. Sad fox is sad.
Another egg that Fuji Shuusuke semi-conned Suzaku into taking on. They were having a conversation about starting a band with Pokemon, and Fuji noted that Suzaku was missing a bassist--so he sent an Eevee, because that's completely logical. Eevee may not be able to play bass guitar, but he is named after the conversation; Riff, as in, guitar riff.
Riff is similar to his trainer in several ways, given that he's no-nonsense and quite serious. Conversely, however, he seems to have a little bit too much stock in his self-image, and can get a little stuck up when given too much attention.
While returning through the Ilex Forest, Suzaku encountered a Pokemon he'd never seen before near the shrine. At first, he thought he was hallucinating, but soon snapped out of it and carefully captured it. Flora really didn't put up much of a fight and seems to be awfully snuggly despite not knowing her new trainer very well.
