And after spending a week out in the wilderness battling birds, raccoons, mice, sentient weeds with legs and ghosts in order to reach civilization, Yusuke has finally made it to Violet. That, however, isn't immediately obvious when he turns the feed on, for when he does the screen is engulfed by an inspiring shot

The Gym Leader's team is about level 30, I think. If you're not close to that it's gonna be real hard for ya.

Yeah, maybe. [He grins.] Where you guys headed?

[He glances away to look over at something off-screen, presumably at the squabbling children passing as his Pokemon.] Level 30, huh... tch, looks like these guys have their work cut out for them. [He looks back at Ken.] I'm guessing you took him on already?

Leader in Violet is pretty strong! He uses Flying-type Pokemon, so you gotta watch those type differences. I'd really suggest you train for a while before taking him on, too...

[Mac grins.]

But, uh, you say you wanna fight, huh?

Type differences? Like body type?

[Yusuke Urameshi, boy genius. He has all the confusion of a guy who still hasn't bothered to read his Trainer Handbook written on his face, but it disappears right away when Mac mentions fighting, replaced by a rather smug smirk.]

[Mac, who didn't learn about type differences until after challenging the gym, is only too happy to educate someone else for once.]

Nah, nah, all Pokemon are different types. Like, fighting-types or bug-types or whatever. And some types have advantages over others, so goin' in with a type that's got a weakness to the opponent can be real bad unless your Pokemon are at a real high level.

And you bet I am! Doc always told me to keep it in the ring, but there ain't no harm in a good fight now n' then! I'll meetcha...uh...where in Violet ya are!

[Fighting types, huh? That sounded like it was right up his alley! Too bad he has no idea what his derpy little Poliwag is capable of becoming.] And here I was just letting 'em whale on eachother. [/le shrug.] Whatever, I guess...

[His face brightens.] Anyway, I'll meet you by the Pokemon Center, all right? [The feed becomes slightly unsteady as he says this, since he's already getting to his feet and collecting his belongings, hoisting his bag over one shoulder and reaching over to grab his jacket.]

He's tough if you go in expecting it to be a cinch, but once you've got some levels under your belt, he's a piece of cake.

So pretty much all I have to do is get these guys leveled up into their 30's, then? [He scoffs and rolls his shoulders back languidly, stretching out a few sore muscles here and there.] Man, this badge-collecting thing is easier'n I thought it'd be. Seems like more of a pain in the ass than a challenge.

'Course, I don't know much about the later gyms. They get tougher as you go along.

And there's eight of 'em, right? The gyms, I mean. [He mutters.] Dammit, it's like one stupid tournament after the other... [And he couldn't even do any actual knuckle-busting in this one. Life is hard :c]

Well I dunno anything about Falkner or the gym he runs. But he apparently fights with birds? So if you've got an electric type in your party you should be set!

[Yusuke looks over at Puu and Poliwag, then back to Daisuke.] ...Yeah, I'm pretty sure I don't. Only sparks flying between those jokers're the ones they're making by arguing all the time.

Figures. Lemme guess, there's no electric types out in the wild I can hunt down, right? ['cause y'know, that'd be juuust his freakin' luck. Geez, why can't he just slug the bastard and get his badge that way, dammit?]
