Well, we only have to repaint, put in new flooring, then all new cabinets and cupboards and counter and sink and faucet.... oh yeah, and rerouting electrical. I'm sure it will all be a blast... when it's all done.
honestly, it's not been too bad yet, but it's only been a week and tearing things out is a lot easier than putting new stuff in. It'll get crazy for a short amount of time, but I am not too worried just yet.
Arrrrgggggg..... now I have to go back to Lowe's to get shims, because I don't have any. Why has Bob Vila forsaken me so? It'll be ok, once I get the shims, I probably won't have to go back and get any other little supplies, right?
Lol.. actually I was just surprised because the way it looked before looked pretty nice after you'd fixed it up the first time. That, and i've been reading way too many LOLCAT posts. This time are you adding Star Wars wallpaper? ;)
We liked it too. We just wanted the new floor and cabinets. We had to take the old doors off the cupboards and never replaced them. It' wasn't awful, but we are trying to update it, as it will add value to the house to have a new kitchen. Plus the few "enhancements" made in the kitchen by the previous owners included anchoring the microwave and 2 cupboards directly into drywall with long bolts. They found 1 stud for all 3 of these things. The rest was held in place by will power.
