So I was out this evening shoveling the walk, when I hear my 13 year old dog, Nolan, crying/yelping. I round the corner and she has a big rat biting her nose. Like, hanging from her nose while she tries to flip it off. It finally let go and after Indy tried to play with it, I was able to move the rat to a new location. Poor Nolan. I hope she didn't catch anything from that rat bastard.

I spoke with my dad last night and he said the chances of a rat carrying rabies is pretty slim. Mostly Bats and such. Not out of the question, but he felt it was slim, but the bacteria in their teeth can cause nasty nasty infections, and that is what I am really worried about. We will find out this afternoon when I take her in.
