Is tape band-aids for paper, or are band-aids tape for people?

i was thinking about that song "should i stay or should i go" today, and i realized the singer is pretty dumb if he can't figure it out. i mean, the guy says right there:

If I go there will be trouble
And if I stay it will be double

assuming by "double" he means twice as much trouble, than it's pretty obvious that he should go.
