Yet another agenda to destroy sexuality in America

The Department Of Justice (DOJ) has now delivered it's long awaited crack down to not only the adult industry, but anyone who displays nudity even on a personal website.

The Old LawTitle 18 U.S.C. 2257 was originally passed in 1988 to protect minors from appearing in adult films and stated that anyone who produced such a film or photography, had ( Read more... )

That's exactly what people should and probably will do. you have to remember, this new law was passed just last week and has not been made public for the obvious reasons. I am surprised that there are still a lot of people in the adult industry who are not aware of this yet. This is what I don't really understand, if they are going to go after the adult industry in that way, I don't see how they could be so blind as to the type of backlash this will cause to so many other big video chains and even the entire movie industry in general. I think right now this just gives them the power to pick and choose who they want to go after or what company pissed the wrong political figure off.

actually, i think this is a great law because maybe now these adult websites will quickly replace all their outdated, stale and over-exploited porn photos and movies. that's one thing that pisses me off more than anything else is buying time on a porn site and then finding the same material that was on another site somewhere else that. it's so hard to find original, unseen material anymore. it's like these porn sites just borrow shit from another porn site and try and make money off it. most of it is just old shit. that, too, pisses me off.

Well the point being is that you may not see a lot of these sites or stores anymore because I don't think a lot of models or actors are going to want to have their personal information out there to begin with which means a huge loss.

if they want the money badly enuff, they'll give up their info. i garantee. the adult industry has lasted this long, and it will live on.

I think it will live on with the right battles to be fought, but you don't think that his new revised law is more about bringing down that industry and less about protecting minors?

This goes even further than the adult industry though. This means that any actor who participated in a nude scene dating back to 1995 will have their personal information in the hands of video retail stores. Adult industry or not, I serioulsy doubt any actor will want the money bad enough by putting themsleves in public jeopardy like that.

This doesn't just apply to the adult industry.
