I received yet another postcard from my mum regarding an old childhood friend of mine. Apparently, according to her, he is doing quite well, both healthwise and in (I use her terms) the 'looks department', and wishes to see me. Thankfully, I can be quite truthful in reminding her of the fact that my next break does not coincide with the couple

I know how you feel. My mother is always flinging bachelors at me, as well.

It grows quite tiresome, indeed. Perhaps we may become good friends in this, a support group of sorts.
