Family Day - Feb 19

Feb 14, 2007 14:30

The Albertans among you are aware that Alberta has a Statutory Holiday in February called Family Day.

I just found out that Saskatchewan has now joined Alberta and starting this year they also have a Statutory Holiday in February called Family Day. (on the same day as Alberta's)

The rest of the country better get on the ball. :-)

Hmmm.... sounds potentially redneck and heteronormative. Do only people with nuclear families get the day off?

Smart ass! :-)

It is an official Statutory Holiday and applies to all people and all types of families. Even gay orphans get the day off (or time and a half).

Apparantly the Government of Canada IS getting on the bandwagon. However, it's going to be called "Flag Day". ...That was F-L-A-G Day.
