I Swore

When I was a child and my Dad smoked cigarettes, I swore I'd never be a smoker. I'd cough and gag and beg for him to put it out, My brother did the same. Years passed and my brother was in middle school, he soon started smoking cigarettes. I was disgusted and curious at the same time, he being against them for so long soon uses them. It is funny how we end up doing things that aren't enjoyable. I smoked for 20 years, most of my life since I started as a kid (literally) and I just recently quit three months ago.

Weed on the other hand, I never liked it, I liked the ritual of getting high with friends but being high was never appealing. I went 8 years without that until this summer when I failed myself but I've not done it since then either, amazing what being drunk can hinder decision making skills.
