I finally got a ringtone for my phone. Originally I was going to go with Magical Trevor (http://www.funkimobiles.com/weebl.php) but it didnt come through. What did I get? The Super Mario Brothers Theme.

I even called myself to hear it ring.

Oh, you're not really a geek until you start doing different ringtones for different people.

On my phone, for instance, Jen gets the theme from The Pink Panther (although it's awfully quiet, and I'm thinking about changing it). My friend Jodi, who calls me almost as often, gets "Happy Happy Joy Joy". My Philly housemates get the Liberty Bell March (better known as the theme from Monty Python's Flying Circus), changed from the theme to The A-Team when I moved in december. Family gets "Kyle's Mom's a Bitch". My boss gets R.E.M.'s "Bad Day" ('cos when she's calling, it is). I think I have a couple other groups set up, too (classmates, other friends, &c.). Then the default, if I don't know who's calling, is the theme from Beetlejuice.

And to think I resisted getting a cell phone until nearly 2004.

I have different stuff for a lot of people. Josh is the SMB theme, because unless things have changed, that's his ringtone for everyone. I also have his picture as one of the panels from 'spicy self-insertion fanfic'.

My default tone is the codec MGS. I think most people think it's just a normal ringtone, but it makes me feel like a secret agent whenever I answer the phone.

Speaking of phones, I figure you've probably seen this by now. But have you seen this? :)
