I just finished watching the Bones season 4 finale and all i can think is major disappointment.

Just in case anyone hasn't seen it i'll put it under a cut

I did kind of expect at least part of it to be a fantasy but i was a bit disappointed that it was so much of the episode too. And they all kept saying how it was going to be done cleverly, there was nothing particularly clever about it, in fact it's pretty much what people have been predicting since they found out Booth would have surgery, and some for even longer. Not a whole lot of clever. Of course i have my own interpretation that makes it slightly more clever and i'm writing a fic for it at the moment so keep an eye out for it. I won't explain now or it will ruin the fic.

Hello :) i often lurk here to read your ED/DB fics and just had to put in my input i about this. i to was so disapointed with the whole no real sex thing but a few of the girls at the BONES spoilers and speculation board were quick to point out some theories this is one of my favs ( ... )

That's pretty similar to my initial theory of the whole thing and honestly i have to agree so far it's the best i've come up with. It bugged me too that he said it was all so real then asked who she was because it couldn't possibly mean what it seems to.

Yeah.. cant wait for season 5 have a feeling its going to be filled with alot of angst. i think after the ep finished every one just went :O but i have to say i have watched it a few times and you really pick up on the little things with out all the excited emotions around lol

There were definitely some nice moments in that ep and a lot of personal growth from Brennan but overall it was quite disappointing and i'm refusing to believe he doesn't remember her it just doesn't make sense.

I was reading some of your fanfiction and saw your update. I agree with you totally here. I'm supposed to be getting everything prepared for prom tomorrow but I *had* to see the finale because they were going to hook up "for real". Argh, I did think Booth was joking when I saw that scene though - my first thought. I think that's just my own peculiar and slightly disturbing sense of humor though.

The sex scene; I didn't get that much out of it. She didn't even have all her clothes off! It was still hot though. (If it was Emily's preference than I have no objection but if it wasn't than it diminished from the scene IMO)

Yeah, if he was joking though then it's just a massive rip off of x-files (after Mulder wakes up from being dead he asks who Scully is and then says he's just kidding). So they could be a little more original.

I'm not seeing how it was clever at all and i have to agree Hart Hanson said specifically they would be NAKED in bed together having sex, not that they would be in bed together having sex and then imply the next morning that they're naked. It was still hot though. And i'm guessing that wasn't David's preference lol, but i guess it might have been Emily's or maybe just the producer's not wanting to take too much of a chance with those 2 lol. Nice bra though.

Yeah... after the shock went away I figured that I really did like the episode except for the cliff-hanger... but I guess I can deal. He's going to remember things sooner or later, he won't just start from scratch completely... that would be heading into soap territory... I think that it will probably be dealed with fairly quickly... that's generally how it goes with tv drama end-season cliffhangers.
