a TV advert in the UK may be ten (ish and I do mean ish) years ago...
it was a take off of The Professionals; they were driving around, dive down a litter strewn alley and one of them says "Rubbish, makes the car look good"

What him and I can't remember is... what (car? :S) was it advertising?

Anyone?

(I had tried a google search for it but hadn't thought of YouTube)

We have just watched The Professionals' one twice and The Sweeney one which we'd forgotten about.

Good isn't it - i could remember the advert but not what (brand)it was selling - I must be an advertising exec's nightmare.

No problem...gave me a chance to see a British TV ad, and I learned about a show I hadn't heard of before...from the looks of the Nissan parody, it must have been a neat show.

Yeah :) It was essential viewing when I was a kid. You had to see it so you could talk about it at school next day *LOL*

Mind you I looked it up on wikipedia and was surprised (horrified) at the production dates.

Which reminds me:- I went back to you first posting to look up the meaning of cuyvaldar (Wanted to tell Pete, couldn't remember and languages have never been a strong point)and my mouse missed fired and I ended up at the wookiepedia .... three hours later :S

On the plus side I can go forward with the books rather than re-reading them trying to find out what colour Booster painted his star destroyer.
