Just a quick little drabble that came to me when I saw the current word prompt over at numb3rs100. Since I've been writing two vampires fics and reading aleo_70's Doubt, the first thought that come to me was of non-human teeth sinking into Don.

Poor man. So, yeah, completely plotless whump in this little drabble.

The title comes from the names given to the different types of aggression dogs can show. Like territorial aggression, provoked aggression... unfortunately for Don, the protective feelings this particular Doberman has are for the man he was in the middle of arresting.

Nice... Nice... Nice...

Loved the graphic imagery and how you manage to pack such action into such few words, amazing... :)

Thanks. It's actually kinda fun to just get straight to the whumpy bit and leave out all the rest. Though this thing got rewritten quite a bit. For my WriYe goal, I keep track of all the words written and there 77 that were written and then cut in the editing and rewrites. Not so much to make the word goal, that just need a trimming of 3 words, but just in getting it to what I wanted it.

Writing Year.

A spin-off of NaNo. It was originally called National Novel Writing Year. I signed on for a goal of 300,000 words this year.

Yeah, not much time/room to maneuver in a drabble, so Don had to react instantly, but he's so well trained I think he would.

Thanks!

Very nicely done! I followed this over from the hurt_don lj. You have a quite a talent for putting a lot into a little space.

Thanks. Drabble writing took me a while to get the grasp of, having always written long fic before, but it's actually quite fun once you get into it. It's a different sort of challenge from a long fic.

I'm glad the hurt!Don comm is working so well, thanks for using it!
