I've started to occasionally take showers in the dark. It's strange yet relaxing to not be able to see my hand in front of my face. The water feels better.

I hate riding the buses in my town. I've lived in Japan and India for long periods of time and been crammed into every sort of vehicle or train. Only in America where crowding isn't as much of a concern can public transportation be so uncomfortable. Everyone has space issues ( Read more... )

I fight for a sense of awareness. Awareness of myself and of the other. It's a delicate balance. The better I am the more I can sense. I had this chicken that I bought on Thursday. Tuesday or Thursday I pick up a herb roasted chicken, a loaf of bread, and some sort of cheese. Kroger doesn't have a great selection of cheese but most look pretty delicious. I just don't understand why most are so expensive. This years Twilight Criterium race took place in an on and off rain storm. I spent the night going in and out of bars around the race course (I wasn't drinking because I was keeping my weight right for an upcoming grappeling tournament) As the race got into the final stages I decided to finally pick a food stall and get something to eat ( Read more... )
