Desserts are too expensive

I bought a brownie "bite" today from fatwitch, a brownie company across the street from my work The ingredients were like, eggs, flour, sugar, chocolate, vanilla, etc. Whatever you'd normally put into a brownie if you made it at home. How much did this tiny little bite cost? $1.25 ( Read more... )

People bank off of laziness in america. I am very guilty of making others rich because of my laziness myself...

And now I have this strange craving for chocolate.

i agree with bluestained_elf... especially in nyc, where nobody cooks anything.

i realized that when my fiance and i were looking for an apartment and one of our only requirements was a 'decent' kitchen.... and the realtor decided that anything with a dishwasher = a good kitchen, even if the stove was falling apart and the 'kitchen' consisted of a closet of barbie-sized appliances from the '50s.

that, and... we went to some other apartment where the lady was using the stovetop as her bill/mail/paperwork table.

heh, I remember watching some show where the NYer had shoes in her oven. Might have been sex and the city. I never thought it could be based on fact!

When friends come to my apartment here in NY, they remark at how "large" my kitchen is. It's a charming kitchen, but lacks enough cabinet space. They're just shocked that they can fit and turn around in it.
