I rented the Best of the Electric Company from Netflix. If you were a child in the 70s, you probably watched this show. I'm indulging in pure nostalgia here. Holy crap, even the sight and sound of the old PBS logo when the show ends makes me reminisce and get transported back.

First day working at the co-op
I started my 9am cashier shift at the Park Slope Food Co-op today. It was disorganized: I didn't know who to meet with, the trainer I asked for hadn't shown up, and the two ladies behind the member desk were charmingly singing songs out loud. I joined a co-op
I joined the park slope co-op last weekend. In exchange for 2 1/2 hours of work once a month (actually every 4 weeks) I save about 20-40% off my grocery bill. The co-op has fresh, local produce, mostly organic and the grocery items they stock are vegetarian-friendly (but they do have meat and stuff ( Read more... ) -

I bought a brownie "bite" today from fatwitch, a brownie company across the street from my work The ingredients were like, eggs, flour, sugar, chocolate, vanilla, etc. Whatever you'd normally put into a brownie if you made it at home.
