There was an escalation today at work. Me versus a consultant. Started out in email, a “you did this,” “no I didn’t” type of situation. I was the one saying “you did this.” Other people were cc’d on it email. Later, I was confronted by the consultant. She was angry, agitated and defensive. I reacted to that energy. I moved on Thursday last week. It was a hard move for the movers going from a duplex to a forth floor walk-up. Karen came by every single day and helped me put things away, break down boxes and take down all the trash. The place still isn't all set, but it's no longer a maze of boxes. My moving date is June 29th so I've been packing practically every day this month. I'm still packing the kitchen, it's neverending! I probably won't be on LJ much until July once things are settled, but I'm peeking in on my friends list weekly to see what everyone is up to.

I usually go to the same Thai place for lunch, about once a week. Outside of having really good food, there's a large window in the restaurant from which you can watch the cooks cook your food while you wait. It's a neat operation, with chefs using woks over an open fire. I always watch them cook and I order the same dish so I can tell when it's ( Read more... )

I sent my "notice to vacate" to my current landlord last Thursday. I took a bit of a gamble since the co-op board still hasn't gotten back to me with a yes or no answer on if I'm approved to move in.
