What Is Up With That? Topic: The Killers

Who likes The Killers? I do ... but something about them has always seemed a little fishy or Faustian or teeny-bopper-y. I want to like them a lot more, but for some reason I just don't. A lot of other folks seem to feel the same way. I was very amused in today's Coming Distractions, where Rachel Leibrock expressed a similar view:

I love their records, but they have sucked at every live performance I've seen (SNL, Letterman, Conan, Live8, etc). And yeah, sometimes I feel bad for liking them.

I love the Killers. I saw them at the Warfield a few months ago. It was amazing. The entire crowd was on their feet singing and dancing for the whole set. I have tickets to see their show on April 7th in SF.

They playing at the Memorial Auditorium soon. Tickets go on sale on Saturday I believe. It would be worth it I think.

I was getting lazy with my show-going but now I just bring grass and I always have a blast :)
