   I don't know what or why I'm writing again. Probably the same thing I always write: I love painkillers and hate rain. Yet painkillers have yet to render me impervious to falling barometric pressure. I just want to catch a buzz from cheap generic pain pills so I can live (mildly intoxicated) in the moment instead of catastrophizing about a future ( Read more... )

I am very much against things that I have labeled as ultra-convenient. I think that your robot idea already kind of borders on thast, but i see no reason why they wouldn't have them become useful for other tasks, removing even more experience from our oh-so-modern lives and cut out our intuition for being resourceful and self-reliant. The Cell Phone and the Internet alone have done so much to limit us in the name of ultra-convenience.

And yes, I am well aware the irony of bashing the internet on the internet.

Why invent a robot to do that when you could use a practically-enslaved immigrant and not worry about the tremendous R&D costs?
