Feelings are important, too, but...I know someone who's worked hard to kill his emotions. I would say he's still a person despite this, even though I hope he can come to understand their value one day.

I mean, there's a lot of people here who aren't human, even, so what makes someone a person? That was just me thinking of something that might fit there.
