There's no way that any no-smoking law passed by the civil government should be able to tell a private business such as a restaurant whether or not people can smoke there, but it is up to the choice of the college, because it's a private business. Every student there chose to go there knowing that there WOULD be rules to follow, however ridiculous that they might be, rules that the average citizen of the US doesn't have to follow

see, i think they can do that... and they apparently will, if every smoker (and a bunch of non smokers) on campus don't raise hell about it. it seems like they're doing this because people want it done... show them that people don't want it enforced... that is craziness. i hate second hand smoke and smoking in general, but, damn, i don't think it should be banned on campus. just like i think they shouldn't make it mandatory. good luck, dearie ^_^
