Guilt

On the way home from my workplace/school, there’s this dreary about-60ish man who always stand by the same four-lighted intersection. He dresses sloppily and though his clothing does not have patches to patch up tears, they look worn and rather caked with dust like he sleeps with them on. His shirt extends past his faded black jacket, which he ( Read more... )

I know exactly what you mean. The homeless are hard to be around especially if there are a lot of them in one place(lower wacker drive). You want to help them but you cannot help them all.

Most of the homeless had a bad break and that's why they're on the street. I know they must feel horrible and prideless when asking strangers for money. The homeless have no other option though. In their current state, who would hire a homeless person if they were draped in rags. Even the most selfless employer would pass on the individual. Thinking about the homeless is painfull and heartbreaking *tear* I feel for their plight.

yea...sigh, it's really hard to avoid seeing them but hey, wat can u do. ur just one in a million. oh sure they say even one person helping will improve the situation but society is usually all talk and little action. i wish people would realize that a society is only as prosperous as its most unfortunate members.

;) like ur icon by the way...it's cute.

Yeah, seeing homeless people ALWAYS sucks. I also feel your pain. My best friend, and the first person I ever felt anything substantial for, decided to run away. He was gonna be the fucking valedictorian of his class, and he decided to run. I dunno what became of him. So every year around the holidays, I always give all the money I have to those Salvation Army people I see. Gets me in trouble sometimes, but it just feels wrong to do nothing, ya know? Of course you do. That was the point of your entry. Anyway, the important thing's that you did what you could, and that's all any of us can be expected to do.
