wow thats good. people are the hardest things to draw and i think you've done a nice job of it. im not exactly in a position to give criticism on drawing techniques though-i tried drawing people before but i just ended up getting angry and giving up. thats why i take photos instead :) haha

I really like the picture, well done.

P.S. the only things that I can draw are stick figures and cubes.I once managed to draw something that kind of resembled Bart Simpson.

My stick figures were once confused with houses. :(

I just wanted you to know that, so you know that a compliment from me about art means absolutely nothing. But for what it's worth, I think you can draw well.

Hey, nice self-portrait! Don't worry too much about your weight. You look good enough, I think.

I would recommend using charcoal, if you're planning on taking baby-steps to other media. Others may argue that charcoal is "difficult to master" but I say screw it! It's definitely one of my favorites to use in visual arts. The ease with which the thick blackness traces itself onto the paper provides such a nice contrast. Of course... you can't really rid yourself entirely of "errors", but then what is art but that which comes naturally, and needing not to be perfected? Um...otherwise... I really like using crayons. Crayola is best, the wax is smooth and consistent. Powder blue! alriiiiiight

wow, cool. i like charcoal too cuz it can be really really dark. and chalk looks useful too. ink looks all right sometimes, but it depends on how much of a contrast you can get from it. i really need to learn how to achieve certain shadow techniques (i never get to work with lines that much :/). i like to work with oil (or watercolor) but they kinda make me nervous ;). so i guess i'm gonna stick with crayons for awhile if i want to introduce colors :/. r u taking any art classes?
