Wow, I keep coming back and reading this post - it's moving stuff.

I feel really good for you - I went through a stage last year where I was suddenly cut off from a close friend due to a court matter, and it was incredibly difficult. I didn't manage to find a revelation like you've found - it would have really helped.

I am currently in the midst of a falling out of sorts with my mentor of 4 years, the person who has meant the most to me over these years. It's so hard and it sucks. But we have decided, out of need to maintain both of our sanity, to "redefine our relationship" and I can't begin to imagine my life without him. To be honest, I'm terrified, but relieved at the same time. So I wrote down this quote today, which I thought you might relate to as well, in any case, it helped me today?

I'm okay. I had tried to kill myself on Oct. 8th and should have succeeded, except (what the psych nurse told me on the unit was) that the only thing which saved me is my age. :-/

Life has been complicated lately, that's why I haven't been posting.
