[ooc: Okay guys, this will be the main fight log for this
plot. Comment spam style! Aside from the thread with Sanji, which is a continuation, you can choose between scenario one or two. Vanitas will be a lot tougher in the first one, worn down in the second, but more desperate and unpredictable. He'll also be carrying a gun, so as a final note

Vanitas isn't horribly close, but he's not expecting Sanji to move that quickly, either. It's near the Battle Dome, in a small group of trees where the dark Keybearer's trying to blend in with his surroundings. But he's still a human-ish outline amongst the trees, for an eye sharp enough to spot him.]

That said, the chef doesn't start attacking upon the sighting of odd black and red streaks through the foliage (it's not the first he's seen), once he's reached the area of the Batlle Dome. He's pissed off, not blind with rage. Starting shit with a random passerby taking a nap isn't a good way to keep the status quo. Rather, he stops and turns, looking far more lax and slouched than he actually is]
... Huh. You really did sit tight. [A slow turn, and then he starts an equally slow march closer] Thanks for that, shithead.

Can't say the same for you. Did you run some errands along the way, or what? [Truthfully, it hasn't been that long, Vanitas is just egging him on. And in person, that vocal distortion is more apparent. Instead of Sora's voice, it sounds closer to Roxas or Ven's.]

The thought holds long enough to earn a silent snarl, because questions like that assume he gives a shit in the first place.]
Wanna get started then? I can't keep you waiting.

You and I have a score to settle.

[Wasting no time, Vanitas focuses in on that anger, and lifts his hand. With a twist of his fingers, he tries to draw that negativity out of the other and form it.]

[he's drawing probably uncomfortably too close, his eyes peeled as he looks around, and Keyblade drawn. but it doesn't appear that he's spotted his target yet.]

Thankfully, Sora's back is facing him. But instead of raising his Keyblade, Vanitas retrieves his second weapon and takes aim. There's a click of the gun's hammer drawing back (just a couple seconds' warning) before Vanitas fires.]

[he knows, even with his back turned, that he has all of a breath's time to get out of the way. his body immediately blurs to the right as he takes off in a Quick Run, barely managing to slide out of the way of being gunned down before a fight could have even started. he's exponentially lucky to be getting away with only the sound of a bullet whizzing past his ears.]
[he may or may not be ready for what he sees when he turns to face his assailant.]

But Vanitas doesn't stand there, just staring and waiting for Sora to make the next move. He's already coming towards him, gun no longer aiming, but it's still in his hand, as he tries to kick Sora down for a better shot.]

Somehow she manages to slip away from Souji to get a temporary weapon and then makes her way into the woods to look for Vanitas. But as she walks along, she spots something up in the trees though it isn't an Unversed. So holding up her pistol, she fires at the figure only once]

Instead, he raises sends a small army of Axe Flappers careening her way through the air, attacking her from above. It should be enough to distract her from firing again, but if not, Vanitas warps from the tree branch to another one on the left.]

In the mean time she approaches the tree she shot at]
I don't want to fight them. I want to fight you.

But after another few seconds, there's a crackling sound before a bolt of dark lightning strikes the ground around her.]

He moved silently, stalking the other darkness through the village from the south to the north to the west. He waited in the shadows until Vanitas was completely alone, worn down but still dangerous as ever.
That didn't scare him though. No...he was ready, and he stepped out to reveal himself.]
I'm not sure if I should be amazed or disappointed.

But there's no one to turn to. Maybe, if it'd been someone more forgiving, he would've had a chance. As soon as he sees Roxas, though, he knows how this is going to end.
He knows, but instead of throwing his weapon down and coming quietly, he laughs, not as loudly or wildly as normal, because it actually hurts to do so, but it still sounds as unhinged as ever.]
Why disappointed? This is exactly what you wanted, isn't it?
Reply
Not quite. I don't think you've paid a high enough price for what you've done to all of them. [He takes a step closer.] Axel. [A step.] Sora. [Another step.] Naoto. [Another step.] And now Xion? You really pushed your luck this time.
[There's a sudden swish and sound of clanging as Oathkeeper and Oblivion appear in his hands.]
Give me a reason I shouldn't use both of these to put you out of your misery.

You want vengeance. Are you willing to stain your hands for it, Roxas?
