[ooc: continued from here!]

Vanitas isn't horribly close, but he's not expecting Sanji to move that quickly, either. It's near the Battle Dome, in a small group of trees where the dark Keybearer's trying to blend in with his surroundings. But he's still a human-ish outline amongst the trees, for an eye sharp enough to spot him.]

[Sanji's looking for you, Vanitas. That outfit's not really helping your case.

That said, the chef doesn't start attacking upon the sighting of odd black and red streaks through the foliage (it's not the first he's seen), once he's reached the area of the Batlle Dome. He's pissed off, not blind with rage. Starting shit with a random passerby taking a nap isn't a good way to keep the status quo. Rather, he stops and turns, looking far more lax and slouched than he actually is]

... Huh. You really did sit tight. [A slow turn, and then he starts an equally slow march closer] Thanks for that, shithead.

[Though most of his body's visible, there's a branch and leaves covering his shoulders and face. But he's turned towards Sanji, and has apparently been aware of his presence almost as long as the other's been aware of his.]

Can't say the same for you. Did you run some errands along the way, or what? [Truthfully, it hasn't been that long, Vanitas is just egging him on. And in person, that vocal distortion is more apparent. Instead of Sora's voice, it sounds closer to Roxas or Ven's.]

Maaah, my sincerest apologies. [He catches that distortion, hairs rising on the back of his neck in response. Just what the hell is this guy?

The thought holds long enough to earn a silent snarl, because questions like that assume he gives a shit in the first place.]

Wanna get started then? I can't keep you waiting.

scenario two: one on one battle go! refinedmaestro July 16 2011, 16:49:49 UTC
[Frederic knew Vanitas was out there and of what he had done to others around him. Walking around the area of where Vanitas just happen to be, he spies the other then approaches him slowly.]

[Tired, hurt and running out of places to go, Vanitas isn't going to stand and wait to be attacked. As soon as he sees Frederic coming towards him, he raises his Keyblade and slams it down onto the ground at his feet, launching a wave of dark Firaga that travels through the earth straight towards his opponent's feet.]

[Frederic sees the dark Firaga coming and quickly teleports so he's right next to Vanitas, his expression is cold with a hint of anger in it.]

You and I have a score to settle.

Join the club.

[Wasting no time, Vanitas focuses in on that anger, and lifts his hand. With a twist of his fingers, he tries to draw that negativity out of the other and form it.]

scenario one, CHOOT (at) 'EM soracles July 16 2011, 16:52:36 UTC
[Sora may look alone, but there's no way he is-- not after what happened last time he chose to take Vanitas on alone. truthfully, he had chosen to team up with Ventus, and they're simply spread out to cover more ground.]

[he's drawing probably uncomfortably too close, his eyes peeled as he looks around, and Keyblade drawn. but it doesn't appear that he's spotted his target yet.]

[By this time, Vanitas has left the tree branches in favor of slinking through dark portals on the forest floor. He's trying to make himself as hard to sneak up on as possible, and after coming out his latest one, a head of spiky brown hair jumps out of the nearby bushes at him.

Thankfully, Sora's back is facing him. But instead of raising his Keyblade, Vanitas retrieves his second weapon and takes aim. There's a click of the gun's hammer drawing back (just a couple seconds' warning) before Vanitas fires.]

THERE'S NO ALLIGATOR FOR YOU TONIGHT, VANITAS soracles July 16 2011, 17:34:46 UTC
[it's not the first time Sora's had a gun aimed at him, whether it was zombie pirates or even Clayton, and his blood runs cold when he hears that familiar click all the same.]

[he knows, even with his back turned, that he has all of a breath's time to get out of the way. his body immediately blurs to the right as he takes off in a Quick Run, barely managing to slide out of the way of being gunned down before a fight could have even started. he's exponentially lucky to be getting away with only the sound of a bullet whizzing past his ears.]

[he may or may not be ready for what he sees when he turns to face his assailant.]

ALLIGATOR, HUMAN... IT ALL TASTES THE SAME vanityunbound July 16 2011, 18:21:24 UTC
[The red eyes will probably be the first thing to enter Sora's field of vision. Red eyes and a dark, dark area around them that seems to repel the morning sunlight.

But Vanitas doesn't stand there, just staring and waiting for Sora to make the next move. He's already coming towards him, gun no longer aiming, but it's still in his hand, as he tries to kick Sora down for a better shot.]

Scenario one~ rematch is a go fortune_prince July 16 2011, 17:22:31 UTC
[Yeah like Naoto is going to take her defeat just lying down. He even took her gun! That's a big no-no. Aside from that fact, she heard that he hurt two more people after her battle against him. She has to try and stop him.

Somehow she manages to slip away from Souji to get a temporary weapon and then makes her way into the woods to look for Vanitas. But as she walks along, she spots something up in the trees though it isn't an Unversed. So holding up her pistol, she fires at the figure only once]

[That shot does indeed hit something, but it's only a glancing shot as the bullet hits the outside of Vanitas' arm. A neat rip opens in his suit, and with a sharp gasp he resists the urge to plant a hand over it and seal it off.

Instead, he raises sends a small army of Axe Flappers careening her way through the air, attacking her from above. It should be enough to distract her from firing again, but if not, Vanitas warps from the tree branch to another one on the left.]

[Oh so he's sending those things after her this time. Well at least now she knows he's here. Instead of taking the the time to fire at them one by one, she summons her persona and sends it off to attack them.

In the mean time she approaches the tree she shot at]

I don't want to fight them. I want to fight you.

[Too bad, Naoto... the area falls silent again in the wake of her statement. Vanitas isn't giving away his location that easily.

But after another few seconds, there's a crackling sound before a bolt of dark lightning strikes the ground around her.]

The tailend of scenario two, set after all of the other fighting is done perplex_me July 16 2011, 19:34:47 UTC
[Vanitas had been putting up a good fight from what Roxas could tell. He had been watching from the shadows as other fighters approached him, watching them wear him down. He would occasionally offer assistance to anyone who needed it, but for the most part he remained hidden.

He moved silently, stalking the other darkness through the village from the south to the north to the west. He waited in the shadows until Vanitas was completely alone, worn down but still dangerous as ever.

That didn't scare him though. No...he was ready, and he stepped out to reveal himself.]

I'm not sure if I should be amazed or disappointed.

[He should've given up by now, but Vanitas is nothing if not tenacious. Even as beaten and bruised as he is, and probably suffering from an internal injury or two, he's not dead yet. Not dead, but there's little hope left that he'll be getting out of this alive. Even if he miraculously fought everyone off, there's little chance that he'd survive his wounds without help.

But there's no one to turn to. Maybe, if it'd been someone more forgiving, he would've had a chance. As soon as he sees Roxas, though, he knows how this is going to end.

He knows, but instead of throwing his weapon down and coming quietly, he laughs, not as loudly or wildly as normal, because it actually hurts to do so, but it still sounds as unhinged as ever.]

Why disappointed? This is exactly what you wanted, isn't it?

[He barely blinks at the laugh, choosing instead to examine over Vanitas' injuries. He scoffs lightly, thinking the damage is impressive but not enough.]

Not quite. I don't think you've paid a high enough price for what you've done to all of them. [He takes a step closer.] Axel. [A step.] Sora. [Another step.] Naoto. [Another step.] And now Xion? You really pushed your luck this time.

[There's a sudden swish and sound of clanging as Oathkeeper and Oblivion appear in his hands.]

Give me a reason I shouldn't use both of these to put you out of your misery.

[All Vanitas manages is a shrug, before his knuckles tighten around his own Keyblade. He can't quite manage to look as calm as normal, but he's not panicking, yet.]

You want vengeance. Are you willing to stain your hands for it, Roxas?
