Nothing like a house to make you nice and quiet is there?
I'm looking forward to the 'after' the nice and quiet. I'm hoping the sinus surgery will help with my sleeping too! Congrats on everything - oh, and the night vision thing with Lasik - how much worse off is it? It's a side effect I haven't heard of, and I like being able to see in the dark!
Missing you muchly (and thanks for the email, it made our week, possibly month)
I am glad you liked the email. It was one of my rare poetic moments.
About night vision... two things changed, the first was bright light sources at night had a halo effect. The halo obscured details around the light. For the first week driving was scary because of oncoming headlights. This part has reduced in size and intensity over the last three months. It is improving. I used to be able to get this halo effect during the day but now it is only at night and only a very small halo.
The second part is definition of shapes. There is a haze similiar to the halo on dark yet contrasted objects. The perfect example is the back of my house leads onto a walking trail along the shore of the bay. There are circular stones leading up onto the path. At night there is very little light and the stones can barely be discerned from the dark ground. Now it is much harder to discern them as the transition from the stone to the ground rather than being sharp is blurred.
When you settle down and start living by putting your different foundations in order, then I am sure we will pick up where we left off. Let's see, five pillars or so for your life right now... career, family, friends, community and home would be all in disarray. Disarray because you have just altered all of them with moving to atlanta and beginning your law career.

Be cool to hook up socially. :) If your job allows it. And stuff.

It's kind of a toss up - Being able to see in the dark, or being able to see without having my glasses. Oh how I miss my peripheral vision!
Maybe I'll see how your night vision is doing in a year... :)
Miss you muchly, both of us.

Hopefully you will be able to have as much interesting as you want rather than heaping piles of it.

I haven't done a good job of showing that. But I hope to correct it as I come out of the hole I've been in for three years.
