Its been so long since I updated my journal .... I guess I was waiting for something to inspire me! And today I have been inspired. I just signed a form declaring (under penaly of perjury - no less) that I am an alien. *grin*. I am an alien and I am a number in the system ..... Fox Mulder need look no further ( Read more... )

It was just general ramblings .... no real content. Life is blissfully boring right now :)

I've always believed that it is the general ramblings that change us. Slowly and subtly, life's mundane, quotidian events form our reality. While we live amidst it, we are oblivious. Friends perhaps, who see us after intervals may find the shifts in our realities vast, or even alarming. And we lose touch with the lives we once knew, not by some great wave that sweeps us away, but by the dissolving sands at the edges. Indiscernable shifts.

Of course, as you know, I believe in more rather than less communication. Primarily for the reason above, but also as a life philosophy.

Your words painted a very calming picture in my mind ... I miss the warm days by the ocean - how quickly the summer rolls on by ....

I agree with you ..... it is the everyday mundane events that shape our reality and therefore the changes in our personalities as we evolve. This change is inescapable though .... and it too is, in my opinion, part of the mundane everyday realities of life. So I accept and expect it ..... for myself and others.

Both sweeping changes, as well as resolute stubbornness to not change are what take actual effort. I guess we all find our individual sweet spots on the complicated curve that is life .... how much to work, how much to play, how much to communicate ...... It is interesting (to me) to see how my natural inclinations slowly shift as I grow older.

Ok now that was rambling!

Well...why don't you make your posts friends-only? I find a blog is SUCH a nice way of keeping in touch with someone's life instead of peppering them with emails and messages.

I do hope you poften (post more often)! And that husband of yours, of course, has become permanently unspeakable...I no longer know what to enquire of you guys, even if I do talk to you...

I could do that - except that then I am writing with the expressed expectation that someone will respond. I find that too stressful :) I hope to get back to my once-or-twice-a-week LJing frequency ...

Yeah .... "alien" does seem a bit much!

But then again the USofA is really *all* that matters on this earth .... so if one is not a US citizen, one must be an alien I suppose! :D

Thanking!
