Emo forest buddies unite?limitless_landMay 8 2011, 18:58:18 UTC
Riku had taken to training here in the forest, mainly to clear his head of the thoughts that continually raced through his mind. ...He wanted to go back somewhat, to make sure what they said about his future would come to pass. That his friend would awaken, but-
That train of thought was abruptly ended when he sensed someone coming. The boy blinked, jumping out of the way out of habit as the spell hit a tree branch near him. ...What. "I don't know, but I ask myself that same question every day."
Sirius whipped around to face the person he hadn't noticed there before. Guilt joined the other emotions raging through him as he realized he could have hit the person with one of the curses he'd been firing.
"Sorry."
He wasn't in much of a talking mood, anger still pulsing through him.
o/\o ...And sorry for the late orzlimitless_landMay 12 2011, 22:16:21 UTC
Hey, it was completely fine in his case. An accident, and he's used to being fired at, anyway.
"It's alright," he replied, tilting his head to the side. Someone was upset; that much he could tell without even seeing. "...Any reason why you decided to commit violence on plant life?"
Sirius scoffed. "Other than this place is hellhole, it likes to fuck with me and I can't find my way out of it? No, I just like the night air and the trees happened to be here."
"It does that to everyone," came the reply in a matter of fact tone, as he leaned against a nearby tree. "No one's exempt. Even the most powerful of us are brought down low."
Comforting to know there was company? Maybe. "At first I had no problem with this place. I actually liked it. Not so much anymore."
He sighed and pocketed his wand. He could feel the anger dissipating and turning into frustration mingled with some depression. Either way, he was done destroying the park.
"Mm. I felt the same way." It was... nice being reunited with at least one of his friends, but now... Well, there was a reason he came to the park so often. "Want to talk about it?"
Just an offer; it was up to Sirius to take it. "...Riku, by the way." -And he almost forgot to introduce himself. Typical.
"I guess I should've seen it coming. Remus had already left once, there was nothing to say he and James couldn't leave again. Sorry, it's not like it's your problem, thanks for asking though."
"Don't worry about it," he replied with a shake of his head. "I've had my friends taken from me as well; it's a common pain even outside of this city." After all the times he had tried... No, not thinking about it now.
"That...really sucks. Friends are sometimes the one thing that's most important. It's not easy losing them. I can't imagine losing my friends back home too."
It was bad enough this place did it, how awful would it be to know the same thing could happen at home too?
He nodded, "Though, one thing I've noticed? Sometimes what is lost finds its way back."
It happened once for him, even though he was immediately separated from them again. ...But he'll be holding onto the hope of seeing those he swore to protect once again with a vice-grip.

-Alongside me? goes unsaid, but it's implied.

It wasn't all simple as that, but it was the most he was going to give right now and it was certainly all he was in the mood for.

After all, Riku was right, his friends had returned to him once, it could always happen again. If only he didn't hate waiting so much.

Waiting sucks, period.
