A Halloween party! I hope it's simply not a rumour; who wants to wait until Christmas for the Yule Ball, anyway? I haven't come up with a costume idea yet, because what would be the point if there isn't going to be a party? Perhaps I'll just wear a sari and drag Padi into pulling out hers.

At last, I'm here! It feels so nice to be back in my dorm again, with Lavender and Hermione and everyone else... I had to unpack first thing and check on my broom (which, thankfully, wasn't crushed or bent). What a dimbha I was to put it in my trunk! The shopping trip went without a hitch, I'm pleased to admit, and I now have all the books I'll be needing for this year. Thankfully, some of them look to be at least halfway interesting, so I figured I'd get an early start and read them. (That's also partly due to the fact that I'm bored out of my mind, but you never heard that from me.)
