it appears that all the united states can do, apart from flying choppers there ourselves to rescue who we can, is assist the survivors with our finances, our donations of objects. it makes us all feel so bloody helpless that the national guard was nowhere in sight and the heads above this nation did so poorly in the way of preparing for what meteorologists have been telling them about for a long time.

I think the problem is over-population. There are just too many people and we can't just let them all go to other parts of Louisiana, it's already over-crowded. It's tough. It's just really sad to see that.

I feel like more could be done. They aren't evacuating enough people quickly enough and they aren't letting people actually come in and help either.

The amount of destruction and deaths is just amazing.
