*shivers* ooh, i like it. For all the theories of why Severus does what he does, sometimes i wonder if he is just doing for exactly these reasons. Do you have a link to Chance's archive? Thanks for the story, i really enjoyed your take on Severus.

*embarrassed face*

Sorry about that, Michael, I thought I had the warning page. I edited my comment to the correct link.

I was actually looking at an old version of this page when I posted, so I didn't see your post with the link already in it :P But linking to the warning page is better thanks :)

I think so, too. That's what bothered me while I was writing this.
Thank you, cdk, for reading; this one just nagged me until I wrote it!

Opportunistic!Snape? Hmm I guess that is a possibility that can't be totally outruled :o) Very well written, eventhough I'm not sure I agree :o) - or don't WANT to agree more likely...

What's funny is I wrote it, and I don't want to agree with it.

But I can't help but wonder...:)

This was really good. Agree, it could be a real possibility.

Ah you think Severus like me, though I rarely write him so. I've always thought Snape has one agenda...his own. Survival depends on how he comes out with the winner, whoever the winner is. You did Severus BRILLIANTLY and I wouldn't be at all surprised if this is EXACTLY how Jo Rowling winds up Severus being. She's always said to keep an eye on old Snape (almost a direct quote there).

Brilliant.

I really appreciate your kind words. I normally don't write Severus in this light either, but it is a very real possiblity in my view from what has been presented in the series so far. It all seems like a juggling act to me.

Thank you for reading :)
