The blade concerned was taken down where it stood today, but too late for talis_kimberley fans shocked to discover she was attacked and wounded yesterday in an incident on her "lottie". Local community friends and band members rallied round. One rushed her to hospital, almost reaching the local speed limits. Another living close to the scene, happily let her

Pretty much as Paul said - an allotment of land. Canada is really big. England is not. We rent a bit of space from the local parish council. This is land set aside for locals to grow food as usually back gardens are too small for that purpose. (Actually we grow in the garden too, but that's not the point.)

talis_kimberley has a half-allotment. In practical terms around ten by eight yards. There's mostly root crops: potatoes, carrots (3 different colours), parsnips, onions, garlic, etc. There's an array of beans climbing up poles too.

More yard than I have. My house is 17 feet wide. My front yard garden ( I back onto an alley is 10 by 10 feet.
