Somehow it happens that I slip. Away from my focus on now.
I don't know when it happens and suddenly I'm there so occupied with what's ahead of me.
Ambitions, carrier and success.
It can't go fast enough.
Of course the stick that I'm whipping myself with is the only reminding me that I've been a nothing most of my life.

Family dynamics .. how a child is influenced by a parent .. or both ..
Karen has, of course, has a lot of experience with families in therapy also ..
