on sunday, i was over at the street mission to bring all the bags of clothes, toys, books,
kitchenware, etc in from the donation bin that sits out on the sidewalk. i like doing this
now. i feel like i have a good rhythm, and i enjoy the banter with the other volunteers.

i really think that the education and participatory effort of the government to use CBC radio
as a medium for social feedback flourished in the time of pierre trudeau. i think that the
people who came together in the mid-sixties up unto present day decided that they

i was listening to cbc radio this morning, eating my breakfast. i listen to shelagh rogers' program
every day, or almost every day. but this morning, i was really shocked to find out that the last
half hour was given to a new segment, called Canada Writes, hosted by jian ghomeshi.

rain all day today here in montreal. i went over to the street mission today at noon to
eat with the folks over there. it was an unusual day because most of the usual people
who prepare the meal and set things up were all at a funeral. i stayed afterwards to
clean up and wash dishes. i think there were 12 of us eating today. there would have

when some people hear about homeopathy or the bach flower remedies
they roll their eyes and drum their fingers and automatically discredit
what you are saying. admittedly there are many therapists who who talk a lot
about homeopathic cures for everything but they lack a broad enough

i am not a big promoter or advocate of yoga. when people ask me what kind of
mind-body practices or disciplines i advocate for my massage clients, yoga is
not high on the list.

learning to use notepad to make drafts
i am now using my windows notepad application for composing
my journal posts. i can preserve my quirky wont on the length
of the line, and this is the way i am used to composing online
in the utnecafe/newcafe websites.
i am not very knowledgeable about computer wordprocessing.
i am learning, but i am slow as molasses in january. just takes

ling zhi mushroom & lucid dreaming
i had a lucid dream early this morning. i love the lucid dreams that come from the
constant use of the ling zhi mushroom (ganoderma lucidum). the name is reishi
is japanese. there is not enough research on this lucid dreaming aspect of the
mushroom, yet. but many people have added to the anecdotal evidence.
