Last weekend I went to Sorrento and Capri. It was gorgeous and it didn't rain :) Saturday we wondered around Sorrento and then that night we saw a traditional taratella show dance show. It was pretty cool. Sunday we spent the day at Capri. We went into the Blue Grotto Cave and walked around the city.

This past weekend we went to Urbino, a small city famous for its beautiful palace and being the birth place of Rafael. The dinner served Saturday night was the best any of us have eaten in long time, there were literally 6 courses. The bottomless pitchers of wine served with dinner may make the Accent Program advisers think twice about the dinner ( Read more... )

we went to pompei yesterday (saturday) - it was a beautiful day, the clouds were amazing, and the city was incredible. So much is so well preserved .. the train ride there wasn't bad, only 2 hours. we stopped in napoli (naples) for a short bit, the coast is absolutely beautiful. Here are some pictures...

Today we saw this amazing crypt inside the Church of the Immaculate, where they had 6 seperate vaults full of the remains of over 4,000 Capuchin Friars from Rome, with entire walls, alcoves, and chandeliers composed of human bones. There were bizzare but beautiful arrangements of jawbones decorated with vertebrae, large flowers made of shoulder- ( Read more... )
