Andy Hallett (Lorne from Angel) passed away last night at the far-too-young age of 33 from heart failure.

I actually sent him a get-well email back in 2004. I never do stuff like that, but right after Angel ended I read online that he was really, REALLY sick and it affected me more than I would've expected. They didn't specify what it was, but it sounded like he was probably going to die. Somebody set up an email address, so you could mail him get-well notes, and I did it. IIRC, he sent back a short thank you note a few weeks later, saying he was feeling much better.

Some actors fake nice very well, but there are a precious few where you can just SEE the honest goodness in them. Hallett was one.
