Holding Patterns

I have mentioned several times recently that I was interested in getting a home gym, but our garage needs work before it would be suitable to house expensive gym equipment. Oh, honey! I am so sorry for your losses. Also, I didn't realize you got married. Please extend my condolences to Ty as well.

Frank and I didn't precisely try, but we stopped birth control almost immediately. I know what you mean about putting it in God's hands re: having a child or not. We weren't lucky.

I tried to send you an email this morning because you have been on my mind the past few weeks. I have no idea who I sent it to, but it wasn't you. :) I have lost touch with my LJ friends somewhat. I just felt like I needed to start blogging again.

Ty and I got married in April of last year in the Bahamas on the beach. He is a true partner in life and I am very thankful for him.

Time will tell if a child is meant to be. I believe it is, but am not going to stress over it. For now, we have a great life together and are enjoying it.

I am sorry to hear about the miscarriages - they are never easy.

Thank you. I am in a good place now, but it was difficult both physically and emotionally. I adopted my older children and had never been pregnant before. Our bodies are truly amazing.

It is really good to know that you have a good man and are in a good place. I remember that you adopted Meranda and Gage - how are they doing?

They are doing well. Meranda is in nursing school and loves it. It took a few years for her to decide what she wanted to do, and she waited to start school until she figured it out. I’m very proud of the woman she has grown into. She has a nice young man she has been dating for a year and a half.

Gage works as a process operator at a chemical plant. He has a couple of daughters (6&2), and is constantly getting working on side hustles. He just recently bought in as a partner on a good delivery service and is learning that business to work while he isn’t at his main job. Earlier in the year, he bought a good trailer and sold crawfish while they were in season. However, I worry about him more than Meranda. It’s hard to explain why, but she just seems more stable and grounded.
