How does one define their true self, their soul? Does the label fit in truth, do you match the stereotype? In the end, is it all just words?

I would postulate that souls, should they exist, have their own language and are un-defineable in language terms. No evidence, just a gut feeling.

Now if you mean soul == true self then some approximation can be obtained by examining a person's actions. For myself I've learned that I have to apply that metric to myself most of all. For all the high-minded thoughts we might have, true character is revealed in the crunch between integrity and the easy way out.
