Thrilling chapter! You've done a great job keeping the basic essence of the Sherlock characters while interweaving them with the Sentinel-based story. I am totally hooked on this story and am intrigued to learn how you plan to bring Sherlock and John together.

Honestly, after reading this chapter it sounds like mycroft could be a potential antagonist and it's not entirely in character with the series. I never got the sense that mycroft was a bad guy, particularly season 3 you can see that he's just misunderstood.

I haven't seen Sentinel and know absolutely nothing about it. And this is amazing. Holy crap, so good, so creepy!

(I was so, so sure that the Guide would be John and I was like 'LOL, they can't catch him, he needs to bind to Sherlock. Right? RIGHT? OH GOD THEY CAUGHT HIM DDDDDDD: NOOOOOOOoooo wait SHERLOCK no wait Sherlock isn't- oh okay. oh god that's creepy, aafghjkfghjkljkl;;;;;; racismracismracism classism? maybe. creepy. creeeeeepy.')

Heh, well I had to show the readers what the stakes were. But no, I couldn't have it be John because, you are right, no Sherlock yet. But this hunt-gone-bad does have further repercussions, so it's not just a mood setter.

I am so excited about this and it should be terrifying to see what Sherlock is able to do with heightened senses. This world always made me a little sad but I doubt you will make it so horrible for John and I can't wait to see them meet.

Oh man, this AU is sometimes written heartrendingly brutally, but I'm not going that far. What happened to this Guide is about the level of the worst of it.

That's not to say that John's going to get an easy time of it, because then, well, it wouldn't be a story would it?
