I was so happy to see this updated/finished! Always enjoy BAMF!John saving Sherlock's life in some violent and pugnacious manner. And a nice reveal about Mycroft. This whole work has been quite interesting and touching and heartbreaking (in spots) and rewarding as is required for all good Johnlock fics, with of course the AU novelty making it stand out that much more. The only thing I kinda wish might have happened would be John inviting Sherlock to bed and then asking/insisting that Sherlock *not* order him around. I got the impression from their previous experience that Sherlock believes he can't actually be attractive to John without some external influence or pressure (like the threat of Mycroft), or give him genuine arousal/pleasure/satisfaction in bed without the help of the collar's reward. It would have been nice if John could have proven him wrong.

Bah, bleak? Don't worry, this fic gave me so many strong emotions, and the ' happily dysfunctionally ever after' was entirely satisfying :) a wonderful, wonderful fic -- I congratulate you immensely! The earlier chapters were so bloody tense, it really felt like I needed to do something to relieve muscle tension, honestly x) and the last chapter -- had smugness at Sherlock not punishing John for the monkey act, pride in John's love despite how fucked up the relationship was, horror at Sherlock potentially dying - I won't list everything I felt, but then you had me crying at John's almost suicide, and moreover, that the thought of suicide rendered him immobile...
and a cute epilogue :)
So messed up. So brilliant. Yup, I love you :D
