Blue collar comedy tour..

kinda like Jeff Foxworthy's "you might be a redneck IF....." line.

or that other guys "here's your sign"

Anyway, there is a racist/xenophobic guy on the tour named "larry the cable guy"

"git-r-done" is his catch phrase.

It's much more ubiquitous than just that comedy tour, though. People use it all the time.

But what does it MEAN? How do you USE it?

Oh, wait. Urban Dictionary. Here we go.

BTW, venaja, how have YOU heard it used? I've only heard the aforementioned Larry using it.

It means "get it done!" I have no idea where it's from, but I hear it used all the time.

Haha, I know the literal meaning, but it just doesn't seem to quite fit in anywhere.

From "get her done," i.e. "Get [that task] completed."

All pieces of machinery are regularly female:
"The engine on my boat is shot. Gonna hafta get her replaced."

And this is extended to tasks in general.

Used both in future imperfect and past continuous senses, and can be first, second, or third person, singular or plural.

"Dallas is looking good enough this year to go to the Super Bowl"
"Git 'R Done!"

Ahh, I was wondering where the "her" came from. Perfect!
