So have officially crossed the line into middle aged. This year, for some odd reason, I though I might like to do some celebrating, but as fate would have it, I had neither the time nor money. Live from London - It's Friday Night
Have just spent all day yesterday running around Greenwich and seeing cool things - but not the Cutty Sark, which is under wraps for restoration, like most of London it seems. So, one of the things I really dislike about living in LA is that music has to be trendy in order to be booked in this town, which poses problems for listeners who prefer things written by tht guy Anon a couple of hundred years ago. So, I finished with my conference and was looking forward to 3 days of vacation time, only to get sick. Seems to be my year for throat infections. Only, this time I think its either tonsillitus or strep throat. We'll see when I'm able to call my doctor tomorrow. New Viewing
Saw Stardust yesterday in a movie theatre filled with real live suburbanites. I am a snob. As bad as Arclight has been lately, I still prefer it to any other theatre going experience. Even when the theatre itself is mismanaged, I have yet to see anyone with their feet on the seats there ( Read more... )
