This gives me hope that if and when I go to China for an extended period of time, there IS a gay rights movement.

It also reminds me that my students informed me a while ago that gay adoption is illegal in Austria.  Being a European country, this surprised me.  I know they're ridiculously Catholic here, but Spain even has gay marriage.  Then again,

Our gay rights and laws differ from state to state here, it's very confusing. I think they just legalised gay attoption in New South Wales (that state i'm in) which is nice of them, our Federal Government just said they won't legalise gay marriage here though. which to me is a bit silly, if one can adopted a child why can't one get married also? Silly.
