Great to see you're as good a writer as ever and rather more prolific at the moment than you have been for some time! I now have fourteen tabs open with posts from your other blog, not all of which are "just" to see the comments, and should go and respond to some of them.

I used to hang out in Penderel's Oak a lot, and don't remember ever seeing babies in there! But then I was very, very drunk.

Nobody actually lives anywhere near the Penderel's Oak, though, hence its suitability for weekend meetings of large numbers of people who don't mind a tube trip. It can afford to be "family friendly" if the chance of a small child approaching within a mile of it is slim to bupkis.

Ooh yes, that is an important consideration, isn't it. The problem with our three weeks is that they only have three weekends in them. I would concur that Sunday 5th September is probably the likeliest day!

How far down the alphabet have Tube Walks made it by now?!

The next one is Gunnersbury to Kew Gardens, so it should be quite a nice walk!
