I have returned from a particularly messy execution at Azkaban via the Braddock estates, only to find the Ministry almost silent. I do ken the fact that it's a Sunday, and even we are loath to break the Good Laird's Sabbath, but there is a war on. Maybe we can get a wee bit of action around here before mrs_minister checks in ( Read more... )

Have you considered the fact that it's quiet because we're all out there hunting as opposed to lounging around offices and pushing paper?

Hunting?

It's an English tradition.

A fox-hunt.

Hunting the wee buggers out. More of an English thing- I'm more partial to grouse myself. If this state of affairs ever leaves off, you're welcome to come for a grouse shoot- we even get the odd diricawl on a good day.

I completely agree, Walden. I've been rather busy drafting reports and requests to mrs_minister-- you have to ask permission to interrogate Death Eaters now. I'll bet that woman cries every time one of them gets convicted.

I do not cry when Death Eaters are justly punished. However, it saddens me greatly - and should sadden you - when an innocent person suffers because of your agressive measures.

Perhaps it should also sadden you, madam, when guilty people go free and proceed to murder more innocent people as a result of your stupidity soft policies?

It does indeed sadden me. However, I believe that we must wield cautiously the power of our government, and that it is worse for an innocent to die at our hands than at You-Know-Who's.

I don't see how you can continue to read her rubbish articles. I've trained my hand to skip her page automatically.

Politics, lass, politics. It's mostly the flow of information, and if the information is wrong, it's your head on the block when you realise too late. Keep ahead, keep ahead.

That's what she said about fur. She's the one the people listen to. They say knowledge is power, but I'm beginning to suspect they're wrong. By the way, who should I see about using one of the St. Mungo's operating theatres?

removing the finger of suspects is nae way to identify lycanthropy.
Fun though.

Gotta rest some time.

By the way, I was nae impressed by riportingrita's article on werewolf rights. As my own research has shown, werewolves do not in fact bear a layer of fur under their own skin, and removing the finger of suspects is nae way to identify lycanthropy. Scaremongering should be left to the experts, not the press, Miss Skeeter.

Oh, shove it up your arse, Macnair.
Perhaps you could come into the DP and correct Ms. Skeeter at some point, Mr. Macnair? I would hate to know that our humble paper is giving out false information in trying times like this - especially information regarding warewolf rights.
