~Lately I've been reading a lot about Queen Elizabeth the 1st. The Tudor era always interested me, and Elizabeth is a fascinating creature, very ahead of her time in terms of attitude. She was fiercely independent, intelligent, vain, and quite a bitch. I relate strongly to her-I feel as if she is the essence of what my personality could be

Queen Elizabeth also could not risk having a consort at her side--somebody to truly lean on when in mental/emotional turmoil.

At least you have hope in that capacity instead of being forced to deny yourself for political reasons.

I also agree; no matter how much its emphasized, the "how you play the game" is always overlooked.
