It's that exciting time, again - I'm on a diet! 2008 started off really well for my health - I was hardcore about not drinking, or eating sugar, or really having any processed carbs at all. And then, in March, I got upset and ate a whole lot of cake. And then I was buried in a Sugar Tsunami. And I proceeded to gain 15 pounds. Yay ( Read more... )

I like to walk around Lake Merced a couple of times a week- weather allowing- I do go to the gym other nights and when it rains or is just too damn cold. It is pleasant to do this with a friend- cause company is nice. It's about a 5 mile walk. If you would like to join me any evening- call or email- if your schedule allows you to do it in the daytime during lighter hours- go to- its still a lovely walk/ride/run. I recommend something to listen to if you're alone- Personally I use the NPR quiz show Wait Wait Don't Tell Me= but books on tape would probably work too.

I'll definitely call if I can make it! I keep saying that I need to get out into the pretty parts of San Francisco more, but I never quite get there...

And yeah, when I'm exercising on my own, I've always got the iPod playing something. Usually cheap pop music, but it's always something!

You have my full support sister. A good plan all around, and remember: moving through space is burning calories. Even if you don't bike, keep track of extra walking. :-)

Woot! That would be awesome - what kinds of exercisy stuff do you like to do?

Or perhaps more to the point, what do you not LOATHE, and would be willing to do? :D For outdoorsy stuff, I bike and walk a lot. I'm starting to run a little... a very little. I want to learn to roller skate, but I'm waiting for better weather. Or, there's always the gym, but I don't know if you have a membership anywhere (I'm at Gold's, which is really nice here).

Eh? What say you?
