Two weeks ago today, I got hit by a car while riding my bike. I'm long-run fine; my legs are enormously bruised, and my right knee is bruised, hematoma-ed, and severely sprained. Thankfully, nothing is broken or torn, so the prognosis for healing is good-but-slow. I was wearing a helmet, so while my helmet is destroyed, my head is fine. My road ( Read more... )

Canned diced tomatoes = really easy soup/stew additive. I usually don't put tomatoes into my mulligatawny stew, but I have a million cans of tomatoes (next to the garbanzo beans, of course), and figured I'd throw one in. Total win. Adds more flavor, a little sweetness, a little acidity. All in all, a fuller soup with basically no effort. Yay!
