Although I'm sure these things happen often enough to be old hat to all you city people, I just wanted to warn you that a friend of mine was mugged and stabbed nearly fatally a couple blocks from his home in the Haight last weekend. Fuck, that's shitty. I keep having friends and friends-of-friends become victims of senseless violence, and I really hate it and don't know what to do about it. I love this city so much but it's gotten out of control :(

oh thank you! I'm sure I'm only scary in the way that we all are. In a fight with my mom, I said but mom, I'm not very scary and she was like "yes you are, I've sent you email" so I kind of lost that argument because of my online id.
