I love it when Jeff and Annie are forced to confront domesticity together. This was really lovely, can't wait to read the second part!

I love how awkward Jeff is at the end having Annie at his place. And I love Annie putting up a fight about staying over at Jeff's. I like that she didn't immediately go gooey and adoring and grateful at his offer. Can't wait for the rest!

I know right? I'm always afraid of making Annie too much of a "love-struck teeny bopper," especially when I'm writing S2 or post-S2 stuff because that's really not who she is anymore, even if she may have slipped into it a bit with Han!Abed. I'm glad you liked her moxie!

Thank you so much for filling my prompt! I love their conversation about how they deal with their fights...and even though the situation is awkward you still gave it that underlying sexual tension. Look forward to part 2.

I was so amazed when someone prompted something so much like the drabble I already had lying around! Thanks for that because it spurred me to actually get something coherent together, haha.

Agh, I love this so much! This part

Jeff clutches at the pillow again. "Yeah," he chokes out, and hopes the strain in his voice is less obvious than it sounds to him. "As opposed to our fights, which end with…"

"You running away crying?" Annie offers with a smile, not unkindly.

was just perfect, and I loved the whole sink-sharing sequence too. I can't wait for part two!

Thank you! Honestly, I feel like my best Community writing is the stuff that sticks most closely to what we're given on the show, because it's so hard to improve on that.

Very true! I used to be in the House fandom, where we spent a lot of time complaining about canon and trying to 'fix' it. I'm discovering how refreshing it is to be in the fandom for a show I actually respect.

Baahahahaha. I can't even remember what it felt like to respect House. Sigh.

Really enjoyed this. Great character voices and you strike the right note of awkwardness with both of them. Looking forward to the next part.

Thanks so much for that! I think it's taken me so long to finish any Community fic because I need a long time with series to grasp how their world will fit in with my writing (I'm primarily a playwright, and I'm totally aware that I tend to create a slightly different world than people are used to -- all my characters tend to talk like me!) so I'm glad you feel I've hit a good stride.

The fact that you write for a living makes me happy.

Oh, I don't actually write for a living at all. I just meant playwriting is kind of my primary medium when I do write, which is mostly for fun. I'm a waitress, haha -- soon to be a struggling actress, hopefully.
